Maple wood is naturally antibacterial and has a tightly knit grain making it less susceptible to holding moisture and germs; making it perfect for preparing and serving food. As maple is a food product it is a non toxic healthy choice of timber, unlike the sap of other timber species which can transfer into food during use.
