C L A U D I A

Our muse this month is Claudia, food stylist, mum of three and all round style inspiration. Claudia and her family live in the Byron Bay Hinterland in a beautiful barn style home, built by her husband Levi. Their home is filled with carefully curated pieces from local brands as well as an abundant vintage collection.

What motivates and drives you?

The want to be a better mother, wife, friend and human being. 

How would you describe your style?

I am drawn to warm earthy tones and classic pieces that I will cherish. I don’t tend to change things around a lot if it feels right in our home.

Being a food stylist professionally I love things to look aesthetically pleasing and I enjoy being surrounded by the things I have chosen.

I am very clear on what I do and don’t like.

 What are some of your favourite Vessal Studios pieces and why were you drawn to them?

My favourites are the Cayenne Oval Platter and Blown Bubbled Glass Tumbler Set, they are beautiful forever pieces. I love the Check Napkins as they are just such fun colours and I feel you don't see enough colour. 

Oh and I love the Woven Wine Bag! 

 I also adore all of the vintage pieces as I know these are timeless and I won't find these anywhere else.

     

What do you enjoy most about life in the Byron Hinterland and can you share some of your favourite places to go?

I love that we are living in our favourite place and feel so grateful for the opportunity to be here. The people, the beaches, the hinterland.

I love that we have access to amazing restaurants and cafes but still enjoy being in the country. I feel so grateful for easy access to freshly grown local produce and our weekly farmers market visit is a highlight. Harvest Deli for a coffee, Mangosteen in Bangalow for lunch time sushi and dinner at Caio Mate, also in Bangalow.
